WHAT'S'AT? A HIGH-COO?
A haiku is a Japanese poem of 5, 7, & 5 syllables in 3 lines.
Modern American haiku are . . . whatever, but still in 3 lines.

Another boring day
Wish I was at home
Watching television
Sitting on my lap
A droplet of spit falls
The baby is laughing
Sun shining bright
Excitement is heard
Throughout the school halls
Little colorful wings
Fly across my face
Butterflies flutter
Long thunderous night
A very cloudy day
How dreary is my life
Lightening flash, thunder roar
Rain drops fall on my window
God must not be pleased
Happy, smiling face
Greets everyone on the street
My birthday is near
The kiddies are gone
All the candy is still here
Stomach ache galore
Running to the store
To buy bags of candy
The trick or treaters are here
The weekend is here
Shopping is what I will do
What a perfect plan
Long tongue sticking out
Slithering across the grass
The life of a snake
My brain is shrinking
Of all the homework and stress
My brain needs a break
Eyes dark as midnight
Staring back at me sadly
Puppy needs a home
Birthday cake is here
Someone is getting older
Grandma, I love you
No one really knows
The deeper side of my heart
Read my poetry
My stomach crying
For a somewhat decent lunch
That I did not get
I need of some rain
"A miracle" we ask God
The rain starts to poor
Happy go lucky
The boy chases the puppy
His new little friend
No more fried turkey
To chow on for Thanksgiving
It is Christmas time
Sitting down crying
He feels his life is over
His mother is gone
Butterflies flying
In my nervous stomach for
My presentation
Not trying to brag
All A's on my report card
I am so happy
WHAT'S'AT? A HIGH-COO?
