For the game to be over
    Stanhope lost the game

    Cold gray whirling clouds
Raining all day and all night
    Good sleeping weather

    Melt away cold ice
Let the sun shine forth on me
    Go away fall day

    Light colored cotton
    So sweet and fluffily light
    Only at the fair

    Hamburger King food
I ate it for lunch one day
    I did not like it

    Tired of school already
But it is only the start
    Off days-come sooner

    Lurid brown branches
    With hanging, stringy gray moss
    Darken the pathway

    Neck-aching school year
    Late night studying no fun
    When will it be over?

    Haiku, haiku you
What should I write about you?
    Five, seven, five you

    Cold and bitter winds
Snip at my bright pink, soft nose
    I need my coat now

    So little I have
I at least want just a bit
    Money escapes me
