WHAT'S'AT? A HIGH-COO?
A haiku is a Japanese poem of 5, 7, & 5 syllables in 3 lines.
Modern American haiku are . . . whatever, but still in 3 lines.

I came to school today
In my pink jimmies so warm
Which will stunt my work
My heart is in pieces
From the outpouring of rain
Maybe it will stop
My day is complete
All my work is turned in
I hope I get an "A"'
The dance is over
My heart is broken again
But I still feel good
I graduate soon
My life is about to change
Or maybe stay the same
I am very bored
At my computer I sit
The end is coming
My friends are my world
They keep my life together
Maybe I won't die
I feel happy now
No more pain, suffering, or strife
Until tomorrow
My mind is somewhere
My thoughts are running rampant
Will it come back soon
Winter is coming
The cold air blows on my skin
I may need a sweater
My life is a maze
The end is somewhere in sight
How will I get out?
My life flashed
My eyes saw a bright light
When she ran over me
Traumbauer was great
Out play is going to state
I really wonder why
Life is good right now
The World is going my way
I hope it won't stop
Poetry is fun
Ideas just flow in my head
They just never come out
Poetry is whack
But I'm addicted to it
I wonder if it's crack
My project is due
I am not even done yet
What am I to do?
The sky is blue
The clouds have gone away now
When will they be back?
My paper is through
My mind has been set free. Now
I can dance all night
I got a high score
On my ACT so great
I still wonder how
Poetry is fun
I do it all day long
But why do I?
Memories are kind
In so many ways. When
Will they go away?
Chris Brown is my man
The wedding is on the way
I just hope it happens
This is my last haiku
I will dearly miss it...NOT!
Let's start it again
