WHAT'S'AT? A HIGH-COO?
A haiku is a Japanese poem of 5, 7, & 5 syllables in 3 lines.
Modern American haiku are . . . whatever, but still in 3 lines.

Mr. Foster is glad
He made his class run like mad
We will write haikus
The rain is falling
Today is very dreary
Soon the sun will shine
I studied like mad
The test will have no mercy
I will get a "B"
He walks in the room
He says she looks beautiful
She says so do you
I am a poet
Today I wrote a poem
I feel artistic
Listen to the boys
They make lots of rowdy noise
Try and ignore them
I sit in my room
It mines well be a box
Pure isolation
I am going to!
Please don't nag me about it
I will get it done
She stared into space
He kindly said hello
She simply said no
Her hair was sprayed blue
The spray on blue was not true
Please, don't tell Miss Sue
If we can trick you
Into saying a haiku
Can we write it down?
Love bubble wrap!
It makes me really hyper
Pop! go the bubbles
I have A's and B's
I do hope I get no C's
Work diligently
It is very cold
I wonder when it will snow
Until then, sadness
He handed her candles
But why? What are these used for?
Darkness stay away
She apologized
There was nothing more to say
He was rude anyway
Writing down these words,
I wonder if they matter
They do not matter
Dancing and spinning
Worlds move fast, misunderstood
Who knows what is good?
His name was Robert
His second name was Frost
Cold? He was never
You expect me to
Be so deep and knowing well
I am just a kid
I am super smart
I got back my explore test
I did pretty good
